Snow Day

Holy cow, Storm Jonas came to NYC on Saturday and he was no joke! He certainly made this snow storm skeptic a believer again. Does anyone remember Storm Juno last year?? The entire city pre-emptively shut down and we got maybe 5 inches! Needless to say I was doubtful that this blizzard was going to be as bad as predicted, but boy was I wrong! I spent most of the day on Saturday curled up on the couch, we only ventured out for crock pot chili ingredients (see Instagram for mid blizzard shot). However, on Sunday morning the skies cleared and the sun was shining! We decided to go out for hot chocolate and pancakes, and outside our apartment was a winter wonderland. The early morning snow was still untouched and everything looked so beautiful! Storm Jonas ended up dumping 27 inches of snow on NYC, breaking tons of records. While it was a stunning sight to see this weekend, I would not be too upset if this is our only snowfall of the year. I think 27 inches is quite enough for one winter season ;)

PS: My wonderful photographer Lydia was on vacation this week, so these photos were taken by my sweet boyfriend (who knows nothing about photography). And edited by myself (I literally downloaded Photoshop on Sunday). Go easy on us!
