Saturday Style

Happy Saturday lovelies! I normally don't do weekend posts (#worklifebalance), but I've been getting a lot of questions from you girls about day off outfits that can take you from errands to Sunday brunch seamlessly. So it inspired me to create this special post to share my favorite weekend style tips!

1.) A nice pair of denim can take you everywhere. From the grocery store to shopping, jeans are definitely my go to for running around the city. With all the different cuts and washes, there is a pair to suit everyones taste. I'm really loving my distressed black jeans lately as a chic alternative to basic blue.

2.) Add a statement topper. This tip is especially critical during the winter months! A stunning coat transforms even a basic tee and jeans (as seen here!) and creates an effortless look. I'm loving pinks and pastels this winter, but the sky is the limit here!

3.) Try the sneaker trend. I was very apprehensive at first (am I reaaaaally cool enough to pull these off??), but it was love at first wear for me and my Superstars. Another great option are these black Nike's and these Converse. Classic and comfy.

4.) Carry a chic tote. I love tote bags on the weekends because you can throw whatever the day brings you into one bag. Fresh flowers from the market? Throw 'em in. Adorable new scarf from that cute little boutique? No problem! It's much easier to carry one large and beautiful tote, than juggling 5 different bags, an iced latte, and your cell phone ;) Your subway neighbors will thank you.

5.) When in doubt, wear awesome sunnies. It's a fact, everyone looks infinitely cooler wearing an awesome pair of shades. Throw some on and go!

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend filled with family, friends, and brunch!
