The Manhattan Bridge

One of the most iconic NYC spots to snap a pic is this little cobblestone street in Dumbo, where you get the most perfect view of the Manhattan Bridge. The first time I saw it was completely accidental, I was lost trying to find the packet pick up for a half marathon I was running (typical). Ever since that day I knew I wanted to shoot there. Luckily, Allie was down for a little Brooklyn excursion (we took these photos that same day!). I love how the photos turned out, red and turquoise is such a fun color combo for summer. I also like the mix of patterns, which seems intimidating but is so easy to do! As long as the two patterns have a common color scheme (ie. a yellow floral skirt with a yellow polka dot top), they will work together.

I highly recommend checking out this little street next time you're in NYC! Word to the wise: While my pictures turned out awesome, we were there for longer than I'd like to admit capturing these shots. There were SO many tourists also snapping pics, it was nearly impossible to get photos without several others in the background. If you plan on shooting here, I highly recommend you go on a weekday!!
