21 Broad | Nantucket Hotel Review

Writing this post right now is giving me some major nostalgia! I'm seriously wishing I could be back in Nantucket instead of in the sweltering city. I'm no stranger to the island, I've been before when I was younger (fun fact about me: I was born in Massachusetts!), and Connor and I went in for a day trip over Labor Day weekend last year. We had so much fun during our day trip, that I knew I wanted to stay overnight this summer.

Nantucket is a small island, it's only 14 miles long and about 4 miles wide. Even though getting from one end to the other doesn't take very long, cabs are a little pricey (at least compared to NYC cabs!), and I wanted to be able to walk to almost everything we had planned. Enter 21 Broad. This centrally located Nantucket boutique hotel was absolutely perfect for our needs.

The Hotel: 21 Broad is a designer Nantucket hotel with a playful and modern feel. It was designed by Rachel Reider Interiors, and the palette was all white with pops of yellow and hues of blue. If you know me and my blog at all, I LOVE color, so I was in total Instagram heaven here. Connor and I definitely got some serious design inspo for our next apartment. We felt like we were at our home away from home! While the decor definitely played a part in making us feel comfortable, I can't say enough great things about the staff at 21 Broad. They made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in the door. They happily answered all of our questions, recommend dinner spots, gave directions, called cabs, and more! I felt as though I was just chatting with one of my friends, and since they live on the island they have SO many great tips and recommendations. Connor and I love to eat where the "locals" eat wherever we go, and we definitely got the inside scoop from our new friends at 21 Broad.

Our Room: The rooms at 21 Broad are nothing short of amazing. There are 27 rooms total, and each vary in price from $139 to $689 per night depending on the season. We stayed in the beautiful King Room, which featured a stunning king-sized four poster bed (#goals), a high definition smart TV, complimentary wi-fi, a Keurig coffee maker, blackout shades, and so much more. The bathroom boasted a vitamin C shower (no joke, the water was infused with vitamin C. It leaves your skin feeling silky smooth!) and Lather toiletries. The attention to detail found in the rest of the hotel continued on in the rooms, with a stone floored shower and beautiful decor. They made it hard to leave the room in the morning! My favorite amenity would have to be the complimentary iPad each guest receives, which were stocked with tons of local information. It was so nice to have it on hand to look up dinner menus or plan our our next adventure.

The Amenities: The amenities on hand at 21 Broad were truly impressive, and in line with something I would expect when staying at a luxury resort! Every morning they offer a complimentary small plates breakfast with homemade pastries and freshly roasted local coffee. I honestly could not stop eating the scones, they were SO good! After breakfast, they offer a selection of goodies throughout the day, including fruit infused water and the best chocolate chip cookies you will ever eat. I'm serious, I even brought one back with me for the ferry ride! At night, you can sit out on the deck and enjoy the fire pit as well as the happy hour, where 21 Broad provides complimentary mixers and you BYOB. Some smaller amenities included umbrellas at the front door for guest use (which came in handy as it absolutely poured on our last day!), a selection of board games available, a steam room, and spa treatments. As I mentioned, on the day we left it was raining, and we noticed guests taking full advantage of the board games and enjoying the (covered) front porch. Needless to say, 21 Broad made it so hard to leave!!

The Location: You know what they say, location is everything! And 21 Broad is bar none. Located on Broad Street, just a block outside of downtown Nantucket, it was the perfect spot for us. We were steps away from shopping, eating, and the ferry docks. It was so convenient to only have a 5 minute walk to the hotel when we got off the ferry! You could definitely stay at 21 Broad and never have to take a cab or Uber.

Travel Tips: Based on the feedback I got from ya'll on Snapchat (if you don't follow me, add me at astylishsideprj) you really wanted to know what my travel tips were when headed to Nantucket. I got so many great questions that I've decided to make it into it's own post! Check back next week for where to eat, shop, and drink, as well as what to pack!!

Connor and I had the best trip to Nantucket, and I'm already planning on heading back next summer! Our stay wouldn't have been the same without 21 Broad, they made us feel so comfortable and at home, and gave us the best tips about the island! I would 100% return to 21 Broad, and I recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Nantucket! Be sure to check out all of the other fabulous hotels Lark Hotels offers here. Who wants to plan a Vermont trip with me this fall?!?
