It's that time of year again! Everyone is headed back to school, and even if you're not, fall can feel like a fresh start for anybody. Every year around this time I like to do a big closet clean out. Refining my wardrobe for the cooler months really helps me see what I have enough of, and what I need to purchase for the new season. This year, I'm going to try my best not to purchase any more puffer vests. Seriously you guys, I have way too many (and I may or have not have ordered
this one before the closet clean out... That means I can keep it right?!). One thing that is worth investing in year after year is those staple everyday t-shirts. Why should I have to buy new t-shirts every year, you ask? Let me explain.
First of all, how much are you really spending on t-shirts? I think it's safe to say you aren't shelling out more than $20, so it's an affordable way to switch up your wardrobe. Second of all, in the winter months especially, I wear my t-shirts to death as layers under sweaters. All that rubbing against the wool and sweating during the first few minutes when you walk from cold air to heat (does this happen to anyone else?? Just me? Okay, great), really puts some wear and tear on my tees. By the time summer comes around, most of them are pilling, discolored, and overall have seen better days. For me at least, tees can be a tough thing to spend money on in the fall, because... vests. But I've come to learn that investing in a few fresh shirts for the new season is exactly what I need to enhance my wardrobe.
Old Navy offers some adorable options, I'm loving
this navy striped one (the fabric is so thick!), and
this one is long enough to wear with leggings!
Have a wonderful weekend ya'll!! It's finally starting to feel like fall in NYC, I'm looking forward to enjoying the weather! What are your weekend plans? Tell me everything!
